Soft, diffused passages of pale blush rise through the upper field, while darker iron-rich tones gather below in dense, gestural movement. The composition balances release and compression - areas of openness held against textured, grounded mass - echoing the quiet tension found in eroded basins and weathered rock formations.
Built through successive layering and responsive mark-making, the surface carries depth that reveals itself gradually. Embedded gestures and subtle tonal transitions emerge over time, allowing the work to hold presence without overt declaration.
